We blogged back in January 2022 about the silicone ManFish mask (available here in our shop) that DoubleDinner Films commissioned Mind Magic Studios to create, cast and paint. If you missed it then check out that post for the story of how our involvement came about and lots of lovely videos of our panel talk at Romford Horror International Film Festival and our interview with Marc Coleman, the insanely talented Director. A fishy custom silicone mask request In the deepest, darkest depths of 2021's lockdown, my day was brightened by a request from Director and Writer Marc Coleman of Double Dinner Films to make the lead character's creature mask for his debut comedy horror feature film, ManFish. The brief was a humanoid sea creature who would wash up on shore, with the production being filmed locally in Essex at Canvey Island, the Isle of Sheppey in Kent and in the London Borough of Redbridge.
Welcome to some behind the scenes footage at Mind Magic Studios, with a time-lapse video of part of the sculpting process for our ogre silicone mask, Brandlewyn. He is sculpted in Chavant clay, molded in fiberglass, and cast in EcoFlex 0020. We're really excited about Brandlewyn the Ogre as he is the first in our line of original character silicone masks, available only from Mind Magic Studios. #siliconemasks #mindmagicstudios #sculpting #ogre #creaturedesign #timelapse #chav

But does it end well for our friendly ogre? Brandlewyn is a full head silicone ogre mask designed by and available in our store now. #siliconemask #mindmagicstudios #sculpting #ogre #cr
